Gunn Power Plots Victory against Crewe

Loughborough Foxes Development are now five games into the season and really hitting their stride having not lost a match since facing Wolves and Sheffield Utd on the first two weekends of the season. Crewe looked to be in similar form also having lost two of their first 5 games of the season.

Crewe took the lead early after some miscommunication from the goalkeeper and defence led to the Crewe striker getting a goal. However the Foxes reacted quickly and soon Nicki Russell put the Foxes ahead after converting a penalty. Foxes spurred on from this soon put two more goals past the Crewe keeper with both Emily Gunn and Paige Gunn getting on the score sheet.

Both Gunn’s linked up to create Foxes fourth and a second for E.Gunn before Totty lifted her shot over the keepers head from range to put Foxes well into the lead at half time.

Russell added two more to her tally shortly into the second half getting herself a hattrick. Following this Woodbyrne scored from range only minutes after coming on and P.Gunn got her second as she slotted the ball past the keeper from close range.

A dominant performance from Foxes creating numerous chances for themselves and being creative with their play. The team next face Bedworth United in the league at home on the Holywell pitches.
