Loughborough Foxes is the largest Women’s and Girl’s only club in Leicestershire, with 5 junior age groups and 3 adult teams. We have over 100 players across age ranges from under 10 to senior level, as well as 20 female coaches and committee members helping to support the growth of women’s sport and enhance the lives of young women and girls in the area.
We are currently looking for a new Social Media and Web Manager to come on board and promote the club via our various media platforms. The role will consist of keeping our website up to date, creating content for and managing the club’s social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram and Facebook). This is a voluntary role, presenting the perfect opportunity to build your social media portfolio whilst working within a real football family.
The ideal candidate for this role will have some previous content creating experience, including informative graphics for social media. Some knowledge of football and understanding of how to report live match updates is preferable. A basic understanding of WordPress is desired, but not essential. This role requires an in-person commitment to one training session a week (based at Loughborough University) and 1 match a week (home games at Loughborough University, away games across the north of England with travel provided).
This role provides a great opportunity for anyone wishing to pursue a career within sports media, building their connections within the women’s game, work experience and personal portfolio. Previous Social Media Managers at Loughborough Foxes have gone on to work for England Netball and the FA Women’s Super League.
